Welcome to the website of the Airedale Terrier Association Netherlands
The Airedale Terrier Association Netherlands (ATVN) is established on the 1st of October 2006. In April 2010 the ATVN joined the ‘Raad van Beheer’ (Dutch Kennel Club) as a recognized canine breed association in the Netherlands. All Kennels breeders of the ATVN are registered at Raad van Beheer and breed according to the regulations of the Raad van Beheer and the FCI (Fédération Cynologique Internationale). The members and friends of the ATVN consist out of various fans of Airedales: owners, breeders, handlers and showers, in other words all people who are sympathetic towards the Airedale. They have the ATVN united among themselves to keep in touch on for instance raising their Airedale (s) and exchange of experiences. They do this for example during the many events organized by the ATVN: the shared walks and the annual ATVN Family Day and New Year's reception, by which a strong bond is forged.
The ATVN is a canine breed association for the Airedale Terriër in the Netherlands recognized by the dutch Kennel club 'Raad van Beheer'.
What are our objectives?
We seek the creative process of the breeding by encouraging the exchange of information (health characteristics - beauty results)
We share this information with anyone interested: the breeder, the Airedale Terrier owner, puppy buyer and the layman and help them with their questions and any problems.
The responsibility of breeding lies entirely with the relevant breeder, our intention is purely to be informative.
We encourage international cooperation, contacts, sharing information to retain and possibly improve the characteristics of the Airedale Terrier.
We want to maintain and where necessary improve the properties of the Airedale Terrier next to stimulate our commitment to a good and healthy dog.
What do we do?
One of our main objectives is to distribute information. This is done by means of our website, our monthly newsletter and the commingling of members during the many events of the ATVN.
